What documents should applicants prepare?
The official eVisa guidance commonly calls for a recent studio photograph, passport biodata page with sufficient validity, return travel where applicable, paid accommodation and supporting evidence. Minors may need a birth certificate. Requirements can differ by nationality and category, so use the personalised portal checklist rather than a universal document list.
What is the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card?
The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card is an arrival requirement for applicable foreign visitors and is separate from a visa. Completing an arrival card does not create visa eligibility or replace an eVisa. Travellers should use the official Immigration Department service and check whether an exemption applies to them.

Does every UAE resident need a Malaysia visa?
No. The requirement follows passport nationality and purpose, not UAE residence alone. Malaysia publishes a current visa-required list and temporary exemptions, so eligibility must be checked for the travel date.
Is MYVISA the official Malaysia eVisa website?
Yes. The Malaysian Immigration Department identifies malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my as the only official eVisa website and warns that applications through third-party websites are at the applicant’s risk.
Can a traveller apply for an eVisa while in Malaysia?
An individual applicant cannot apply from inside Malaysia. The official eVisa FAQ says the visa must be obtained before entry, subject to nationality and category eligibility.
Does an eVisa guarantee entry or a fixed stay?
No. Immigration officers make the entry decision. Stay entitlement depends on the visa issued and nationality; it should not be inferred from a generic marketing promise.
