Do you need a Singapore entry visa?
Singapore ICA identifies visa-required travellers by the passport or travel document they use. UAE residence alone does not determine the answer. For example, ICA's current visa-required list includes Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and several other travel documents, while other passports may travel without applying for an entry visa in advance, subject to general entry requirements.
What is the difference between a visa, SG Arrival Card and Visit Pass?
These are three separate things. A visa is pre-entry permission for a visa-required traveller to seek entry. The SG Arrival Card is a free electronic arrival declaration and is not a visa. If admitted, the traveller receives an electronic Visit Pass showing the stay granted; that period is decided at the checkpoint and is not determined by the visa's validity.

What documents may a visa-required traveller need?
ICA country-specific instructions commonly require Form 14A, a recent compliant photograph, the passport biodata page and supporting information. A Letter of Introduction, such as Form V39A, may be required for some social or business applications. The local contact and submission route have their own conditions, and ICA may request additional evidence after reviewing the case.
How can an application be submitted?
ICA permits eligible applications through a Singapore local contact or strategic partner using the online service. Applicants without that route should follow the nearest Singapore overseas mission's instructions, which may direct them to an appointed authorised visa agent. What do applicants ask about Singapore entry?
The most important distinctions are passport-based visa eligibility, authorised submission, the free SG Arrival Card and the Visit Pass granted at entry.
Does every UAE resident need a Singapore visa?
No. Visa requirements follow the travel document, not UAE residence alone. ICA publishes the passports and travel documents that require a visa. A UAE residence visa does not replace Singapore entry permission.
Is the SG Arrival Card a visa?
No. The SG Arrival Card is a separate, free arrival declaration submitted through official ICA channels. A traveller from a visa-required country needs the appropriate visa as well as the applicable arrival declaration.
How is a Singapore visa submitted from the UAE?
ICA states that applications may be submitted through an eligible Singapore local contact or strategic partner, an authorised visa agent appointed by an overseas mission, or the nearest Singapore overseas mission as instructed. ICA does not accept visa applications over immigration counters.
Does a Singapore visa guarantee entry or length of stay?
No. A visa is pre-entry permission to travel and seek entry. ICA officers determine admission and the Visit Pass period at the checkpoint; visa validity is not the same as the permitted stay.
