Which Thailand entry route applies?
There is no single Thailand visa rule for all UAE residents. Passport nationality and trip purpose determine whether a traveller qualifies for visa exemption, visa on arrival, or must obtain an eVisa before departure. Check the current official list rather than relying on another UAE resident's experience or an old social-media post.

How does the UAE eVisa process work?
Since 1 January 2025, applicants in the UAE who require a Thai visa submit and pay online through the official eVisa platform. The Royal Thai Embassy says applications are no longer accepted in person at the embassy in Abu Dhabi or consulate in Dubai. Applicants must be physically in the UAE and provide the required proof because submissions made from Thailand or another country can be rejected.

What should the application documents show?
The exact evidence depends on visa category and passport, but the application should consistently establish identity, current UAE location, lawful residence where relevant, genuine travel purpose, accommodation, transport plans and adequate funding. The embassy warns that information cannot be modified after submission, so names, passport data, dates and uploads should be checked before payment.
