What could a balanced Bali itinerary look like?

Use arrival day for transfer and rest, then give Ubud two or three nights for inland culture, landscapes and wellness. Move once to a coastal base for beach time and southern touring. Keep a flexible day rather than pre-booking every hour, because traffic, weather and activity conditions can change the pace.

StagePossible focusPlanning note
ArrivalAirport transfer and an easy first eveningMatch the first base to landing time
Ubud stayTemples, rice landscapes, wellness and craftsAvoid combining distant east and north stops in one day
Coastal stayBeach, dining, resort time and southern sightsChoose the coast for atmosphere and logistics
Flexible dayRest, weather alternative or optional excursionProtects the holiday from becoming a checklist

Which experiences belong in the package?

Select experiences that fit the travellers rather than copying a standard social-media list. Couples may prioritise a private dinner or spa; families may prefer animal-free nature activities and a resort day; active travellers may choose rafting, cycling or a sunrise excursion after reviewing fitness, safety and pickup times.

Private touring

Confirm driver hours, vehicle, guide needs, admissions and meal stops.

Water activities

Check weather, operator standards, age limits, insurance and cancellation terms.

Temple visits

Allow for dress requirements, local ceremonies, heat and respectful conduct.

Villa stays

Confirm staffing, breakfast, pool safety, road access and service level.

What entry route applies to Bali?

Bali follows Indonesia’s national immigration rules. Current official guidance lists eligible nationalities for Visa on Arrival and electronic Visa on Arrival, with an initial stay generally up to 30 days and possible extension under applicable rules. UAE ordinary-passport holders are currently listed for VoA, but UAE residence does not make every nationality eligible. Check passport validity, onward travel and the official immigration list before departure.

When should you visit Bali?

Bali is warm year-round. Indonesia’s official tourism guidance broadly describes April to October as the drier period and November to March as wetter, while local conditions vary. Peak periods can mean stronger demand and traffic. A good itinerary uses indoor alternatives and does not make weather-sensitive activities the only reason for a day.

What should the written quotation include?

It should name flights if requested, baggage, each hotel or villa and room basis, breakfast, airport and inter-hotel transfers, driver hours, tours, admissions, activities, taxes and cancellation terms. Visa fees, visitor levies, insurance and optional experiences should be separated. Rates remain subject to availability until booking conditions are met.

Detailed page, detailed quote: this itinerary page complements our broader Bali planning guide; the quote should turn your chosen route into named, bookable services.

What do travellers ask about Bali tours?

The final route depends on trip length, passport, bases, activity level and the service standard expected from hotels, villas and drivers.

What is a good first-time Bali itinerary?

A five-to-seven-night trip often works well with Ubud plus one coastal base. This creates a clear inland-and-beach contrast without excessive hotel changes. The exact split depends on flight times, activities and preferred pace.

Do UAE residents need a visa for Bali?

Indonesia entry rules depend on passport nationality, not UAE residence alone. Eligible passports, including UAE ordinary passports under current guidance, may use Visa on Arrival or e-VoA. Other nationalities may need a visa before travel.

Is Nusa Penida included in every Bali tour?

No. It is an optional boat-and-road day that can involve early starts, uneven terrain and changing sea conditions. It should be added only when it suits the travellers and season.

Does a private driver stay with us all day?

Only for the hours and route stated in the quotation. Confirm daily limits, overtime, parking, admissions and whether a licensed guide is separate from the driver.

Are Bali tourism levies included?

The quotation should state whether any applicable visitor levy, visa fee or arrival requirement is included or paid directly by the traveller. Rules and collection methods should be rechecked before departure.
