Australia visitor guidance for UAE residents
Apply for an Australia Visa Online from the UAE
For a subclass 600 visitor application, begin with Home Affairs’ online instructions and ImmiAccount. Check your route first: the Australian ETA app and Australian Immi App serve different purposes and are not interchangeable application portals.

Choose the route before opening a form
Searching “Australia visa apply online” can bring up application websites, agency enquiry forms and identity apps. Establish what you need to do before entering personal information. An agency contact form is not an application submitted to Home Affairs.
Use the official links below to reach the correct starting point. Check the full website address rather than trusting a familiar logo. If someone sends you a payment link, establish who receives the payment and what it buys.
Understand the three online tools
ImmiAccount is the Home Affairs account used for online applications including the subclass 600 visitor process. The Australian ETA app is associated with the subclass 601 route for eligible applicants. The Australian Immi App supports identity checks for eligible people who receive the relevant instructions.
Installing an app is not an application.
If your next task is responding to a biometrics letter, follow that letter instead of starting a second visitor application. Keep a note of which tool you are using and why.
Prepare before you submit
Have the requested information and supporting files ready, then review the completed answers against the records. Pay particular attention to passport details, names, travel purpose and dates. Each answer should reflect the applicant’s own circumstances.
If you are preparing applications for relatives, pause between applicants and check whose file you have open. Similar names and shared itineraries make copying mistakes easy. Maintain separate folders and submission records for each person.
Keep access, authority and payments clear
If someone assists you, agree who will enter information, who will review declarations and who will receive correspondence. Follow Home Affairs’ rules for declaring assistance or appointing a recipient. Sharing a password is not a substitute for the required authorisation.
Before payment, confirm the application you are submitting and the charge shown through the official process. Save the receipt and application reference securely. A preparation-service invoice and a Home Affairs submission receipt are different records.
What happens after the online application?
Monitor your account and the correspondence channel you supplied. Home Affairs may request documents or other steps. Submission is the beginning of assessment, not a visa grant, and silence should not be treated as confirmation that travel is authorised.
Keep a small action log showing the date of each request, the response deadline and what you supplied. Use the official after-application guidance for updates or changes. If you discover an error, use the relevant correction instructions rather than quietly starting another application.
Which online tool does what?
| Tool | Purpose to check |
|---|---|
| ImmiAccount | Online applications including the subclass 600 visitor process |
| Australian ETA app | The subclass 601 application route for eligible applicants |
| Australian Immi App | Requested identity checks for eligible applicants |

Frequently asked questions
Use the current official instructions for your circumstances.
Is the Australian Immi App the ETA app?
No. They have different functions. Check the official application route and use the identity app only when your circumstances and instructions make you eligible.
Does submitting online mean I can travel?
No. An application receipt is not a visa grant. Wait for the decision and read the conditions of any visa issued.
