Australia visitor guidance for UAE residents
Australia Visa Requirements for UAE Residents
Australia visitor visa requirements depend on your route and circumstances. For a subclass 600 holiday or family visit, organise evidence that explains who you are, why you are travelling, how you will pay and your circumstances at home.

Start with the official application checklist
There is no single agency checklist that can replace the document instructions in your application. Use Home Affairs’ visitor preparation guidance as a starting point and follow any more specific requests. A friend’s successful application is not a reliable template for your own evidence.
Create a checklist with three columns: the requested item, the document you intend to use and any unresolved question. This makes gaps visible before submission instead of hiding them inside a large folder of unrelated files.
Make identity and residence details consistent
Check the passport information against the form, including spelling and any previous names requested. Review current UAE residence details and relevant travel history. Where two records describe your circumstances differently, establish the reason rather than editing documents to make them appear to agree.
A renewed passport or changed surname can explain an apparent mismatch. Keep the relevant supporting records available and follow the application instructions for disclosing the change. Do not conceal an older record merely because it complicates the file.
Explain a realistic purpose and budget
Describe the visit in ordinary language: a holiday, time with relatives or another permitted visitor purpose. The proposed dates, accommodation arrangements and funding explanation should describe the same trip. If someone else is helping with costs, distinguish their contribution from your own resources.
For example, accommodation provided by a relative can reduce hotel expenditure, but it does not explain every other cost of the visit. Review transport, daily expenses and the duration of the trip together. Do not use an invented itinerary to make a budget look stronger.
Is there a minimum bank balance in AED?
Do not treat an agency’s suggested AED figure as a universal Home Affairs rule. Evidence of available funds must be considered alongside the actual trip and the applicant’s circumstances. A balance alone does not explain the origin of funds or who will pay for the visit.
Use authentic records and answer the questions asked. If your circumstances are unusual, seek appropriate advice rather than moving money solely to create a misleading impression. Never alter transactions, payslips or statements.
Show your continuing circumstances clearly
Employment, study, business or family records can help explain your situation and planned return. Select relevant evidence rather than uploading every document you possess. A proposed absence should make sense alongside commitments described elsewhere in the application.
Before filing, compare dates across the travel plan, leave arrangements and any invitation. Follow the official translation requirements for non-English records. The companion checklist guide explains a practical file-review method; it is an organisation aid, not a substitute for the official checklist.

Frequently asked questions
Use the current official instructions for your circumstances.
Is an agency checklist enough?
No. Use the current instructions for your visa and application, including any individual requests. A preparation checklist only helps you organise those requirements.
Does a large bank balance guarantee approval?
No. Home Affairs assesses the application. Funds are one part of the evidence and must be understood alongside the trip and personal circumstances.
